“Sebaldiana. Memento mori” is a series of photographic work by artist Elina Brotherus, inspired by W.G. Sebald's texts about Corsica. Guided by Sebald’s book Campo Santo, Brotherus searched for imaginary burial places for her loved ones. The series is complemented by cyanotypes of plants collected from the burial places, historical postcards from Corsica depicting the same places and Sebald's quotations in four languages.
