Bogidar Mascareñas (1990) is a Barcelona-based type designer and letterer.
He combines the studio work with teaching typography and type design in various design schools.
Bogidar earned a BA degree in graphic design at Elisava, Barcelona, where he discovered his growing interest in calligraphy and lettering. He was accepted into Type@Cooper’s Condensed Programme in New York, followed by graduating in 2016 from the Type and Media Master’s programme at The Hague, The Netherlands. Bogidar’s final project, Laima , has been awarded by the TDC, Laus awards, ADCE and included as part of Typographica's "Favorite Typefaces of 2019". Since then He Develops either retail self initiated projects or collaborations with design studios and agencies creating bespoke fonts for brands. Focusing not only in latin but multiscript projects. He loves working with type in all media. Not only print or digital but also in stone, plastic, metal, or even chocolate.
