Formerly known as the One Show Greater China Awards, which was founded in 2014 by The One Club for Creativity, the awards were established because of the tremendous growth and evolution of creativity in the Asia Pacific market. Boysen, the Philippines’ leading innovative paint brand, created BUG OFF, a special paint with Artilin anti-pest technology. Upon contact with the paint, disease-causing flies, cockroaches and mosquitoes are killed.
To dramatize the paint’s unique pest-killing ability, we launched an out of home campaign that recreated carnivorous plants consuming different pests, from mosquitos to flies. The images of a Venus Flytrap, Pitcher Plant, Bromeliad and Bladderworts were created using multi-colored splashes of BUG OFF paint, captured through high-powered, high-speed cameras in precise trajectories.
Posters were put up in light boxes around the city as well as Boysen Mix and Match stations in Ikea stores where consumers mix and purchase paints, heavily influencing their decision at point of sale.
