80 % of people living with HIV are afraid to disclose their status for fear of being judged and rejected by friends, loved ones, and society at large. Our short horror film is centred around the character of Peter, who is HIV+ and therefore deemed an “Other” by society. We seem him attempting to live a life of relative normalcy that is constantly under threat by fear and ignorance. The film is inspired by the real-life experiences of 6 HIV+ individuals. After the film, viewers can watch a short documentary in which each of the 6 people speak about their experience living as an “Other.”
