New York is the city of opportunity, but not for the 21,000 homeless youth on the streets currently.
Staggeringly, 40% of the homeless youth population identifies as LGBTQ+, many kicked out of their homes by family.
We partnered with the Ali Forney Center—an organization dedicated to helping and housing New York’s homeless LGBTQ+ youth—and New York Magazine—a pillar of New York’s Diversity of thought—to take over a symbolic 40% of the ad space in the magazine’s iconic Reasons To Love New York issue and replace it with a magazine of our own.
Published on December 6th to commemorate the organization’s namesake Ali Forney, a homeless LGBTQ youth who was killed 25 years to-the-week, The Issue Within The Issue is a 28-page zine dedicated to shedding light on the challenges this group faces.
