About the Work
OBJECTIVE:
To mark the United Nations Conference on the Arms Trade Treaty held in New York in July 2012 we created this impactful audiovisual piece to protest against and raise awareness of the irresponsible and immoral trafficking of firearms that is common practice between many of our world's governments.
DESCRIPTION:
Through a powerful animation piece reminiscent of a kaleidoscope, we have represented the flags of a variety of nations engaged in this cruel trade. The flags form part of a choreography of explosions, sounds and striking visual images to symbolize the 'show' that national governments have produced through the irresponsible trafficking of arms that are utilized to commit human rights violations.
