About the Work
In 2013, the long journey of the Volkswagen Bus, or Type 2, came to an end. The last unit was manufactured in Brazil. To say goodbye to this icon, Volkswagen ran this ‚??unlaunch‚?ù ad in magazines and newspapers. It was the first piece in the vehicle's goodbye campaign. The artwork sends us back to the classic Volkswagen ads, while the copy, created to sound like a launch ad, announces the exact opposite: ‚??Unintroducing the Volkswagen Bus. Soon at no dealerships near you‚?ù.
