About the Work
More than 50 firearms are stolen from licensed firearm owners in South Africa, every day, and are used to commit violent crimes. We used this fact to demonstrate to licensed firearm owners that if their guns are stolen or misplaced, they are indirectly responsible for the crimes committed with their firearms.
However, licensed firearm owners can take responsibility by handing in their guns safely to Gun Free South Africa ‚?? a non-profit organisation ‚?? which aims to reduce, and eventually eliminate, gun-related crime.
