Brief:
For our studio's 2013 Season's Greeting we wanted to send our clients and friends something that combined a love of Christmas with our passion for typography and type design.

Solution:
Typography + Christmas = Typeflakes ‚?? typographic Christmas tree decorations based on festive-looking asterisks from 5 different typefaces. From favourites like Helvetica Neue and Gill Sans to more obscure families, we designed and produced sheets of beech plywood that each held 18 precision-cut Typeflakes. Arranged at increasing sizes, their layout echoed the common appearance of type specimen sheets. Once removed each Typeflake could be threaded with string and suspended from Christmas trees.

To those who received them they became a festive set of hanging punctuation and a permanent reminder of our studio's love for all things typographic.
