About the Work
We were tasked with amplifying our client’s sponsorship of the Design Indaba, a conference where the world’s greatest creative minds gather to be inspired. To appeal to a very innovative we helped delegates, inspired by the atmosphere and events at the conference, to turn their design ideas into a reality: we helped them “Make Think Become Did”. With the mobile app they could share their ideas, have them turned into concept sketches and printed on items from our DID store in real time, using the design dollars they earned by tweeting, sharing and voting for the three best ideas, which became trademarked prototypes and manufacture-ready technical drawings. We received so many ideas (681) over three days that Google thought we were a spam account and blocked our email. PR had a ROI of 15:1 and #MakeDID trended. Most importantly, the three winning designs will become a reality.
