About the Work
Context: On Christmas of 2014 Coca-Cola asked everyone to “Make someone happy” by submitting wishes for others on Coke.de. While the campaign was still running, we chose one of the most beautiful wishes, amongst thousands of submissions, and made it real and big. Idea: Ursula Michel was, until her retirement in 2013, the longest-serving midwife in the state of Brandenburg, Germany. She delivered over 10,000 babies healthy into the world. The families of some of these babies had the wish to say Ursula “thank you” and honor her life. Execution: Without her knowing anything, we organized a gathering in front of her house with hundreds of children she delivered. We filmed the surprise and placed it as content for social media, blogs and the press. Results: In just 10 days, Ursula’s film reached: 4,092,896 views, 2,409,733 PR contacts, 56,213 Likes and 9,081 Shares. Over 60,000 wishes were submitted on Coke.de.
