Coinciding with the Buenos Aires Half-Marathon, Nike launched a knitted running shoe: the Flyknit Lunar 2. To take advantage of the Half-Marathon’s registration event, we created a knitting machine powered purely by runners’ energy. Each runner could run on the machine’s treadmill, generating the energy for the machine to knit the ribbons for the Half-Marathon’s medals event—and experiencing Flyknit technology in real time. In this way, the runners helped create their own reward by doing what they love most: Running.
