About the Work
Takezasado is woodblock printing company with Japanese woodblock printing technique followed for 1,200 years in Kyoto. They create new woodblock artworks with new design and certain techniques that came down from ancient times. This "creative catch" was designed for the purpose of telling the techniques and the tradition of Takezasado to the world. The black piece dared to show the rough grain clearly and the illustrations on white piece were beautifully printed. These 2 posters represent the different printing methods and indicate skilled technique. The highly skilled technique and the experiences are expressed in the black piece. On the other hand, the possibility of design works that continues to the future is showed in the original white piece. These two posters contributed to represent all thoughts of Takezasado that represent never-ending collected creative and its artworks to the world.
