About the Work
Anti-Est. is a space based in Braamfontein , the heart of Johannesburg’s city centre, South Africa. Street fronts are slowly being populated with side-walk cafes, bars, restaurants etc. creating a fresh urban culture in the city. Anti-Est. Unlearn is a movement away from habit and conformity towards a new way of viewing the world – with honest, open eyes, which encourages an authenticity of thought and conversation. This poster was part of a series of posters featured in the venue itself and it urges you to look beyond the obvious and expected. When you do, you notice the hidden message... if you just take the time to Unlearn.
