About the Work
In the 21st century, humans are starting to lack rich and live communication. We believe that robots should empower humanity by compensating for the lack of communication, mot replace human labor. To do so, there are the needs for advances in technology, understanding of human emotions, and moreover, creative ideas to create unexpected moments. Thus, Pepper was born. We developed a “conversation engine”. He recognizes and machine-learns human emotions with using A.I and cloud computing. Through this original system, unlimited communication with this unique character became possible. Further,we provided a development platform for creators and media artists. While he works in Softbank stores, he is rapidly growing up by the involvement of many creators. The amount of visitors to Softbank stores has been increased to 250%. Pepper sold out in just 30 minutes. Pepper, created an entry point for a society where everyone can develop and live with robots.
