About the Work
Scion has earned their ‘Weird, right?’ tagline, because, since their inception they have always done things their own way – never adhering to the industry norms. And on this occasion their weirdness comes from packing the new Scion iA and iM with loads of great features, and then selling them for one set price. No haggling! The ‘Weird, right?’ campaign features all the premium cues you’d expect from a car brand, but just so happens to have ‘weird’ characters behind the wheel. But these drivers are the ‘right’ choice as they are perfectly cast to promote the cars’ features. A Recently Liberated Car Dealership TubeMan uses his flailing limbs to quickly point out every feature, a Teenage Vampire with a Man Bun heats up his dinner/passenger with the climate control, and Stock Photo Business People use the backup camera because, well, they’re cardboard and can’t turn their heads. Weird, right?
