Case study video: http://glooniverse.co.za/Awards_2015/KFC/SoundBite/ KFC asked us to increase the relevance of its youth offering and to drive an exciting in-store experience creating brand love, word of mouth and return visits by the urban youth market. We converted standard fast food tables into an interactive music platform that connects unsigned artists with an urban youth audience. The Soundbite recipe includes conductive digital ink surfaces, bone-conductive technology old school illustration, mobile interaction and sharing, an unsigned music catalogue and DIY electronics. KFC Global have featured Soundbite as a global innovation case-study. In South Africa and Africa, more than 50 franchisees have ordered their own tables. KFC in China want to roll the table out in their youth-focused stores. But, most importantly, the tables have initiated a digitally-led in-store music platform that will distribute hundreds of local unsigned artists to millions of young, music hungry consumers across 800 stores in South Africa.
