About the Work
Steppenwolf Theatre is the premier ensemble theater in the world. To celebrate their 40th anniversary, Ogilvy Chicago assembled 40 of the world’s best graphic designers, illustrators, photographers, and typographers, to create posters representing 40 plays Steppenwolf has performed over 40 years. They were free to create whatever they wanted. The only requirements were to incorporate the theater’s red, white and black color palette, and make the posters as inspiring as the performances.
