About the Work
The packages of Dear Mayuko that is beauty brand of innovative lifestyle ideas utilizes the natural moisturizing component sericin that is contained in cocoons. Dear Mayuko is the brand with new concept which has face washing, skincare, body&hair care, general goods and bath care which is special to Japanese culture. In order to communicate its originality, I created the design concept “wrapping happiness with roundness”. The logo which motif is from “roundness” of cocoon is the base, and I also use “roundness” as the motif to packages. I created a visual effect that highlights “roundness” in its various forms to represent the fluffy, bubbling, smooth-as-silk feelings that come from using the products. I expressed Dear Mayuko’s “simple, cute and strong” worldview.
