About the Work
It started with a “hi” from our neighbors on May 9, followed by our reply “sup?” A simple conversation between two neighboring buildings that would soon ignite the friendly firestorm #CanalNotes. Using post-its as our ammunition in the social media war, the Havas teams set out to work creating art on our building windows. The intricate gallery caught the attention of passersby, tourists, and news outlets across the world, including 3M’s Post It Brand. With coverage from The Today Show, The NY Times, and Adweek, we knew we needed to go out with a bang. Our village teams rallied together. Using thousands of post-its, we dropped the mic on the competition with a design that covered our entire building façade. 450+ MM media impressions later, #1 on Reddit and 41% digital engagement–the highest among the participating agencies according to Amobee–it was certainly clear… Havas was the ultimate winner.
