About the Work
Netflix was launching the second season of Narcos, the crime thriller centered around drug lord Pablo Escobar. Data showed that the first season was highly popular among gamers in Germany and France and hence we wanted to target them for the upcoming season. To reach gamers we went on Twitch, the world’s most popular live streaming video platform for gamers. Therefore we created the first ever branded live interactive game show. Inspired by the real hunt for Pablo and set in a replica of the DEA office from the series, the show followed influential gamers competing against each other as DEA agents. The 90-minute stunt was livestreamed on Twitch, Facebook and YouTube. The show received 1.5+ Million viewers, over 500,000 online interactions, was a trending topic on Twitter and was covered by some of the biggest gaming portals in Europe.
