About the Work

Millennials don’t care about history or preserving it. That was the problem that we faced when Heritage Toronto approached us. We knew the only way to make the target care about historical preservation was to preserve a part of the city they already cared about. We chose Graffiti Alley, a hidden space that features some of the world’s best street artists. Utilizing social media and strong, bold visuals, we created the Graffiti Alley Instatour; an Instagram account that allowed our target to walk-through the entire length of the alley simply by scrolling along on their mobile device. The experience was made up of over 1,300 individual posts tiled in perfect order. Then hidden within this enormous image were facts on each piece and info on Heritage Toronto and the importance of preserving the world’s history.
