About the Work
DÉTOUR A short film and a campaign shot on iPhone Détour is a 12 minute film directed by French Oscar-winning director Michel Gondry shot entirely on an iPhone. Détour was launched like a movie, with a social teaser, a premiere in Paris, TV and cinema trailers and a series of film posters, also shot on iPhone by Martin Bruno. To give Détour its own visual identity, a font based on Gondry's handwriting was also created. Détour was accompanied by a set of 6 online tutorials recorded by Michel, in French and in English, aiming to inspire people to shoot their own films. Film, trailers and tutorials all use the original soundtrack created by film composer Etienne Charry.
