About the Work

Bandido is a new independent coffee brand aiming to buck the system of large scale coffee manufacturers. More than just perfectly roasted, high grade coffee, Bandido is a movement of free thinking individuals that blend aspiration with action. Bandido’s founder wanted a brand attitude that felt independent, disruptive and playful. The identity needed to be bold and simple with an aesthetic that would appeal to a discerning modern audience. An iconic letter ‘B’ sits at the the heart of the identity. Loud and proud, it’s a playful nod to the classic bandit mask. The visual styling is cool and contemporary, borrowing just enough from the design vernacular of modern independent coffee brands, but bold enough to stand out and deliver the brand spirit. The tone of voice reinforces Bandido's free thinking way of life whilst also referencing halcyon days of 70s freedom and Jack Kerouac.
