About the Work
This catalog accompanied the exhibition “Art as Witness” in fall 2018. The exhibition featured more than 200 satirical and politically charged illustrations, cartoons and animations from 53 artists, including Milton Glaser, Roz Chast and Art Spiegelman. For the exhibition catalog, a newsprint style format was chosen to reflect the publications where one might find such work normally. It includes essays from Steve Brodner as well as quotes solicited by many of the included artists.
