About the Work

When it comes to History, nothing is more powerful than a direct testimony. But since 2012, there is no more witness of WW1. To promote both the Museum of the Great War's permanent collection and the temporary exhibition (Families at war), we took archeologists' and historians' word for it when they claim that artefacts have a lot to say about their time. We turned true vintage objects into the very last witnesses of this terrible time. By giving them a voice. Each one had a touching story to tell. Like the bed of Louise & Auguste, an installation in the Paris East railway station. And the satchel that delivered letters, which told its story in a film. In this integrated campaign simple objects make people of today deeply feel what their own great grandparents endured a century ago, in order to triple the number of visitors to the museum.
