About the Work
Dublin Bus is held up as one of Europe’s best in class LGBTQ+ employers. 2018 was their 10th year supporting Dublin’s Pride parade. Over those years Ireland has transformed, with same-sex marriage legalised in 2015. While the LGBTQ community now walk in Pride with their legal rights, many of them walk without something equally important, the support of their father. At Pride 2018, Dublin bus used their buses to bring the one thing missing from the LGBTQ community to Pride, dads. Hundreds of dads from all over Ireland got on board to support their children. Their presence had a profound impact on their kids, the Pride parade and the world, with people around the globe moved by these loving dads. The video was viewed 7.5 million times in the first week. Proud Dads featured in editorial and broadcast coverage in 17 countries, and generated 90 articles.
