Argentina is continuously experiencing economic crises, and politicians are always the least affected by them thanks to taxpayer money. This has happened since forever. We discovered a piece of information key to helping mitigate the situation: each of the 329 national congressmen and women are entitled to 20 flights per month which they can either use or exchange for cash. This represents an enormous public expenditure for a society that is forced to cut costs constantly and who rightfully expect their politicians to do the same. That’s why while the following year’s (2019) national budget was being discussed, we asked them: why not take cheaper flights? The invitation to legislators came at a very special time – just as they were discussing the national budget for the following year (2019). We set up a giant mobile billboard that served as a traveling street sign around the National Congress. We also contacted each national congressman and woman directly through their personal Twitter accounts, inviting them to join the campaign. Lastly, we put together a WhatsApp video for all Argentines to hear our proposal, share the idea, and learn about this new much more affordable way to fly.
