About the Work
In 2019, Nike made it clear to the world: dreams can change the world. For the Women’s World Cup in France it was time to prove that once more. Nike wanted to show the world that soccer knows no gender. The challenge: Nike is not an official sponsor of the tournament. The 7th star for Germany. For the first time in history Nike united the men’s and women’s titles to prove: it’s about sports not gender. Nike unites the whole of Germany behind the German team to support and celebrate them on their way to the 7th soccer World Cup Title. Therefore, we created an alternative jersey/tricot: The 7 stars jersey. With the unisex 7 stars jersey we created an alternative tricot for the World Cup. The jersey was sent to numerous soccer players, world class athletes and fans to make them become part of the 7 stars campaign and proudly show their support for the team and their dream for the 7th star.
