About the Work

The last thing anyone wants to talk about... is mortgages. Our mission for this Super Bowl ad was simple. Get America talking about Rocket Mortgage and place top ten on USA Today’s AdMeter. In line with Rocket Mortgage’s current brand message which focuses on how a house becomes a home, this spot continues the theme by showing how home is the place where we can be our true selves - the place where we’re most comfortable. To make this message truly Super Bowl worthy, the spot features superstar, Jason Momoa, and takes the meaning of “comfortable at home” to the extreme. The spot begins with Jason Momoa entering his fancy Hollywood home. As the spot progresses, we watch Jason slowly remove his lifts, trademark bulging biceps, tight six pack abs and long flowing hair. The spot ends with Jason plopping himself down on the couch and getting comfortable. At home, in his sanctuary, Jason can be his true self: a sweet, skinny, balding, everyman. The spot also features Jason’s famous real-life wife, Lisa Bonet, giving him a much-needed hand, lifting weights. The spot placed 5th on USA Today’s Ad Meter.
