About the Work
The Design Indaba is an annual Cape Town event bringing together the international creative community. Flighted on South African television, our ads aimed to attract the public to either the three-day conference or the product expo that followed. Communication was based on what we imagined the ideas of revolutionary designers might look like. One example is the Hippo Roller. It provides rural communities of Southern Africa with a more effective and efficient way of transporting water over long distances. Our ads work backwards, to show what the designers may have been thinking when they first came up with the product.
