Description
Ralph's work is fun for him, but never achieving a sense of achievement in the long run is grueling for anyone.
Erich doesn't have it easy in his life either. He lost both legs in an accident.
However, the two have one thing in common: their mindsets.
For Erich, as well as Ralph, giving up is not an option, and the intersection of the two life paths led to an unexpected sense of achievement.
The goal was to trigger a steadily building emotion in the viewer over the duration of the spot.
Ralph obviously has to hide his emotions during sales pitches and always be friendly. However, his true feelings are revealed to the viewer, creating a certain tension. You can literally feel that something is up. To make this inner conflict clear, the montage was created, which gives a quick look in front and behind the facade.
As a contrast, the next scene takes a bit more time. Ralph has reached his lowest point. By looking at a photo of his children, he remembers all the beautiful moments, which drives him to keep going and not give up. Through the acting class of the actor, this crux of the story is also believably conveyed to the viewer.
At the next door, where he tries to sell a treadmill, Ralph gives everything. In his euphoria, he doesn't even notice who he's dealing with. He is then surprised twice. On the one hand by the feeling of success of a sale, on the other hand by the realization that he has just sold a treadmill to a person without a leg. Joy as well as shame spreads through him.
Erich doesn't let his accident get him down and he doesn't give up either. As a starting signal he buys a treadmill.
