Zebra is a research group from Murcia focused on studying rare human diseases using the zebrafish model, which shares 70% of its genome with humans. Its objectives have been to understand the importance of zebrafish in biomedical research and correct dissemination errors to gain greater institutional and public support.

In terms of design, the concept revolves around the fish’s aquatic environment, its fluidity, and adaptability. This approach has allowed the structuring of a cohesive visual identity through a sub-brand system; the creation of a compositional grid applicable to both digital and print environments; the visualization of data and results through interactive digital content on a responsive website and printed content in a dossier; and the development of a communication strategy to reach the target investor audience.

Finally, a communication action has been planned, including the dossier and the website to engage the public, along with a promotional piece presented in packaging. This piece creates a high-impact experience for investors who receive it, serving as the conclusion to the entire strategy directed at this audience.

In this way, we have created a product from scratch, developing its naming, brand, and communication. Its promotion has been executed, and the necessary analyses have been conducted to meet the briefing and address the project’s communication needs. We have experimented with form, image, and text, achieving graphic results that break away from the traditional scientific communication style, creating new conceptual narratives through an open and accessible language.

Additionally, the project has a social purpose: to support Murcian research that seeks the causes of rare human diseases, ultimately enabling the development of specific drugs for these conditions.
