The Young Ones competition is one of the most acclaimed advertising, interactive and design student competitions. It has a tradition of excellence dating back to 1986.
This project consists of self-written creative prompts, each paired with a corresponding graphic design. The book features instructions such as:
• Create a social media account for a lonely tree and update its “mood” and “status” daily.
• Collect all the commas from a book and compile them into a new book.
• Eat ice cream as if sculpting it into a work of art.
Each graphic and instruction work together to form a complete experience, aiming to shift perceptions of the ordinary in playful and unexpected ways. Through this project, I hope to spark curiosity and a sense of exploration in the viewer. Each prompt and visual serves as a small catalyst, encouraging people to see and engage with their daily surroundings from a fresh perspective. I believe that these subtle shifts can bring newfound joy and meaning, fostering a deeper connection with the world.
