Background
Climate change and desertification disrupt Mobile Schools in some Arab regions, causing frequent class interruptions, teacher absences, and constant replacements. As a result, learning schedules become unstable, and research shows that students can fall up to a year behind the standard curriculum—especially in science and math. Meanwhile, in parts of the Arab world, satellite- and solar-powered learning networks are already being piloted by UNICEF, demonstrating that resilient, off-grid education is technically feasible even in unstable environments.

Insight
Frequent teacher turnover doesn’t just interrupt lessons—it breaks trust, emotional bonds, and learning continuity. As consistency disappears, students become anxious, disengaged, and hesitant to ask questions. Without a stable presence to rely on, learning becomes fragmented, and motivation steadily declines.

Idea
Oasis is a tablet-based learning platform powered by Google Gemini, designed specifically for satellite- and solar-powered environments. By allowing students to snap a photo of their favorite animal and turn it into a personalized AI tutor, Oasis creates a consistent learning companion that remains with the student even when teachers or surroundings change.

Execution
Oasis introduces an AI tutor that delivers personalized lessons and responsive, human-like interactions, even in the absence of a teacher. Through continuous, supportive chat, the AI tutor helps students build trust and develop a lasting emotional connection that reinforces learning over time. Through environment-based exploration and self-generated visuals, the platform bridges subject gaps across disciplines and sustains motivation with monthly rewards. By providing a reliable, supportive, and engaging learning presence anytime and anywhere, Oasis restores learning continuity, strengthens trust, and empowers students in the Arab region to thrive—regardless of environmental or educational instability.
