As the premier maker of rack systems that transports virtually any outdoor gear anywhere you want to go, Yakima is all about getting you out and enjoying the great outdoors as quickly and easily as possible. But even then, they felt they could do more. It 2008, they are taking things a step further by trying to give you more time in the outdoors. How can they do this? By running a campaign that has the public questioning the validity of a 5 day work-week and, in this heated political year, urges them to get on the horn with the powers-that-be to make every weekend a three day weekend by giving us every monday off. The movement to Make Sunday the New Monday was born.

Objective

Yakima needed to raise awareness of its new products in the line, drive traffic to Yakima.com, and capture email of potential customers. Ads, interactive media and the 2008 product catalog took a political tone and patriotic look feel, urging people to "join the movement," to make Monday the new Sunday at a freshly repainted Yakima.com. There people could check out the entire product line, enter to win the ultimate three day weekend (buy signing up with their email address), and even download propaganda generators and other tools to help spread the word.
