About the Work

What role does a men’s brand have in the era of #MeToo? In a category that has been of the worst offenders, Harry's created a new short film to launch its brand and amplify the ongoing cultural conversation around what it means to be a man today. Created in partnership with The Representation Project, “A Man Like You” tells the story of an alien who discovers how to be a man with the help of a young boy. Through the alien’s journey to manhood, it is the boy who learns that the traditional rules imposed on men are too narrow and limiting for today's world. Debuting February 26, 2018, the film garnered more than 49 million views with more than 150 million total campaign impressions. This included overwhelmingly positive comments despite the fact that Internet conversation surrounding the topic of masculinity has been overwhelmingly negative.
