About the Work

Research tells us that eCommerce customers want to “touch and try” products before buying, yet traditional online shopping does not facilitate this. As the Google Hardware brand continues to evolve, we’re reimagining how new products are brought to market. Customers want more ways to interact with new devices, so we’re replicating the physical shopping experience, online. Users can get to know products and features through immersive, scroll-based storytelling, and contextual utilities that highlight how Google Hardware and Software work better together. Rich content activates product features, while motion drives engagement with a wink to the Google brand, deepening desire and improving conversion at moments of impulse. Shopability has also been enhanced through new functionality including product comparisons, bundling, and streamlined navigation. The Results… - Conversions increased 206.7% - CRM subscribers increased 215.9% - Time on site improved 12.5% - Bounce rates improved 26.3%
