Dramatic lighting, quick zooms, and shaky handheld cameras, combined with art and wardrobe, create a realistic documentary-style locker room moment that sets the stage for the perfect bait-and-switch. This fun misdirection culminates in Post, where we have 30 seconds to shift the emotions of the players with pacing and musical timing. The scene begins with the players’ emotions showing defeat and frustration as the Coach starts his pump-up speech. As the Coach continues talking, he reveals the game plan—the new Mega Millions from the Hoosier Lotto—creating confusion among the players. A simple question from a player, “What about the game?” helps us reach our lean-forward moment, the moment everything changes, when the Coach leans in to reveal this lotto game, “Is the Game!” We witness inspiration and triumph hit the team’s faces as they jump up ready to play the game.
