Sin Vergüenza is an MTV LATAM campaign designed to raise awareness about mental health among Latin American LGBTQ+ youth. In partnership with The Trevor Project, a leading NGO, the campaign aimed to create a safe space for open dialogue and normalize seeking help for mental health issues.
Mental health challenges unfairly affect LGBTQ+ youth in Latin America, often due to stigma, discrimination, and lack of access to resources. Sin Vergüenza recognized this urgent need and sought to address the problem by empowering young people to speak openly about their experiences and seek support.
The campaign centered around a series of testimonials from prominent LGBTQ+ figures who shared their personal stories of mental health struggles. Serena Morena, Hadassa Tirosh, and Teffy Ortiz bravely opened up about their experiences, highlighting the importance of breaking down stigma and seeking help.
The interviews were conducted in a visually striking setting, designed to symbolize transparency and openness. The use of various lamps added a symbolic element, alluding to shedding light on these delicate and often overlooked issues. The campaign was executed in 27 countries across two languages, Spanish and Portuguese, ensuring widespread reach and impact.
