About the Work

After years of finishing in second place behind Raphael Nadal in the French Open, Roger Federer finally won his 14th major Championship and his first on the clay courts of Roland Garros. To celebrate this monumental accomplishment, Nike ran a single page ad in USA Today on the day after the win. It?s a simple and quick representation of Roger?s record setting career. For non-tennis fans, the different colored courts represent the actual color of each major championship?s playing surface:
Green- Wimbeldon
Light Blue - Australian Open
Dark Blue - The U.S. Open
Clay - French Open
