A Carnival cruise is a better value than most land-based vacations. Yet 80% of Americans still haven?t taken a cruise. So to get our value message across, we pitted the care-free fun of Carnival directly against common land-based vacations, not our competitors. To make them DVR-proof, we used provocative humor.
