About the Work
PRODUCED TO/OBJECTIVE:
To mark the United Nations Conference on the Arms Trade Treaty held in New York in July 2012 we created this impactful audiovisual piece to protest against and raise awareness of the irresponsible and immoral trafficking of firearms that is common practice between many of our world's countries.
DESCRIPTION:
Through a powerful animation reminiscent of a kaleidoscope, we have represented the flags of a variety of nations engaged in this cruel trade. These symbols form part of a choreography of explosions, sounds and striking visual images to symbolize the "circus" that national governments generate through the irresponsible trafficking of arms to national regimes that utilize to commit human rights violations.
