About the Work

adidas and TBWA set out to change a piece of retail forever. To put shopping in window shopping. The goal was to be able to turn any store front window into a functional virtual store, that would connect with any smartphone, without the need of an app or QR code reader and a complete end-to-end purchase experience. The result should be a working prototype for proof-of-concept testing.??

In 10 months of rapid prototyping, a team of creatives, technologists and developers from TBWA, in close relationship with experts from adidas, build a fully functional prototype. The system effectively extends store opening hours from the typical 10 to 24/7. It's seamlessly integrated into adidas ecommerce, fusing their storefront and webstore. We successfully put shopping in window shopping!
