About the Work
The sooner autism is diagnosed, the better the outcome. For Autism Awareness Month, Autism Speaks needed a fresh way to share this information with parents and get them to take action. They did so by breaking an advertising convention and rethinking the way conventional media can be used to tell a story. The message: Learn the signs of autism, because early diagnosis can make a lifetime of difference. Lifetime of Difference is a first-of-its-kind advertising experience that uses four seemingly separate ads from four different brands to tell a single story. We used behavioral retargeted banner ads, a technology primarily used in retail, to show each sequential chapter of our story as users navigated from site to site. A final resolve frame encouraged users to view again in full on YouTube.
