About the Work

Participation in golf is in decline. The game can no longer depend on Tiger Woods to be its brightest star. We needed to remind people of Tiger’s legacy and elevate a new star to excite a younger generation. The film launched the week of the 2015 Masters Tournament, when Rory McIlroy was going for a career grand slam, a feat that only Tiger achieved at a similar age. The spot transcended the world of golf, appealing to a wider audience. The timing of the spot couldn’t have been more perfect, as it released the week of the Masters when Rory and Tiger were paired together for the first time in a major (no, we did not plan this).
