About the Work

For the past 5 years, Bell has been leading the fight against the stigma that surrounds mental health issues by encouraging Canadians of all ages and backgrounds to simply talk. The campaign kicked off with famous spokespeople talking openly about their own mental health struggles on various platforms and encouraging the rest of us to do the same on Bell Let’s Talk Day. A second wave of messages highlighted the 5 ways people could help and continued to build momentum towards the day. On that day, Bell donated 5 cents towards mental health initiatives for every call, text, post or tweet made. When the dust settled, more than $XX million had been donated. Real-time monitoring and responsive creative also helped our team of social media experts make Bell Let’s Talk Day a trending topic – globally – on that day.
