About the Work

The film Indomitable tells the story of Bayonne, New Jersey heavyweight Chuck Wepner who received 328 stitches during his career, never took a step back and, most famously, went 15 rounds with Muhammad Ali. As a man, as a resident of Bayonne, he is a true representation of Cadillac's tagline, Dare Greatly and his story is worthy of not just any film. That’s why we hired a multiple-Emmy winning sports writer and a meaty director whose first feature was shot entirely in sub-arctic conditions. We wanted people who could help bring an element of daring to the way the film was told. To bring these words to life we turned to the actor who probably knows Chuck best, Liev Schreiber, who plays him in the upcoming film The Bleeder. The result was, Indomitable, a film about a true original that itself dares greatly.
