About the Work
China excelled in several sports such as platform-diving, badminton and table-tennis, but they never believed they were good at running. It’s no surprise since the national record is a full seven minutes behind the current world record – taken 12 years ago.
This project was set up to challenge the entire culture and to break the myth. This isn’t a story about elite professionals, but ordinary everyday runners with extraordinary passion. All of them were united with one motive: to prove to China that they can compete with the best in the world through the best documentary series for athletes.
