Mari Garcia
Owner & Digital Media Director at Imagen. The Marketing AgencyOriginally from Madrid, Spain, Mari J. Garcia has been a fixture of the Miami advertising scene for over 25 years. She is a co-owner of Imagen The Marketing Agency, a full-service ad agency in Coconut Grove, Florida, where she heads up strategic planning and digital media for accounts such as Ocean Bank, Estrella Insurance, Simply Healthcare, and Your Insurance Attorney, among others. Throughout her career, she has worn many hats, including in creative development, production, new business, media planning, and account management. For the past eight years, she has largely dedicated herself to developing tactical digital media plans including SEM, social, and programmatic platforms, with a focus on lead generation and tracking. She has a BA in French Literature from Princeton University and an MS in Advertising from the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University.
Marcos Macias
President & CCO, Macias CreativeA first-generation Cuban-American, born and bred in Miami, Marcos has been a long-time champion of evolving general market advertising in a multicultural America for nearly two decades. After cutting his teeth at A-List agencies like Crispin Porter & Bogusky and DRM DDB, Marcos identified a gap in the industry—brands aren’t fluent in next-gen speak. His insatiable drive to find solutions resulted in the birth of an award-winning independent creative agency in the corazón of the 305, with the mission of connecting brands with the next-gen, culturally diverse mainstream audience. Recognized as a "Top Creative" by the American Advertising Federation, Marcos’ ethos in being “ridiculously obsessed with doing great work” has positioned him as a valued partner for clients across the spectrum, helping brands successfully Stand In Culture.
Lee Maicon
Chief Strategy Officer, The CommunityLee Maicon joined the community in 2022 as Chief Strategy Officer. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Maicon brings together the community’s strategy offering across the US and LATAM.
Born in Mexico and raised between Miami and New York, Maicon has a strong global strategic perspective and cultural understanding. At the community, Maicon leads the agency's strategic offering for all global client partners, including Verizon, Netflix, Bath & Body Works, Porsche, Mondelez, Volkswagen, and more. As part of the executive leadership team, Lee also helps to build on the community’s business and capability expansion, with a focus on being the creative partner for the new mainstream.
Isabella Sanchez
VP of Media Integration at Zubi AdvertisingIsabella oversees strategic media planning and execution for top US Hispanic market advertisers. Her passion for marketing to diverse audiences is evidenced in her commitment to always elevating the industry profile, while helping marketers understand and capitalize on the biggest growth opportunity in the U.S. With over 30 years of experience, she is the Chair of the Hispanic Marketing Council and serves on several advisory boards. Passionate about cultural connections and creative innovation, Isabella holds degrees in Journalism and Spanish from the University of Maryland and studied at Universidad Complutense in Madrid. She was honored as a “Hispanic Woman of Distinction” in Miami.
Angela Sustaita-Ruiz
Co-Founder and Chairman, Nuestro StoriesA noted pioneer of the Hispanic social media marketing industry, which she helped found in 2009 with Hispanicize, Angela also is known for co-launching the first Latino influencer network, DiMe Media (formerly Latina Mom Bloggers). During her time with Hispanicize, the company expanded its portfolio through acquisitions of U.S. Latino digital food and lifestyle media companies like Hispanic Kitchen and Latina Moms. In 2022, she was part of the NGL-Urbano TV group of partners that together with actor John Leguizamo sold NGL-Hispanicize to MiTu’s parent company, GoDigital. Angela is a proud third-generation, Texan of Mexican descent.
